Apply to join our board!

We are seeking board members who are passionate about supporting education and career access on Kodiak Island and who possess the skills and abilities to help grow our capacity to increase postsecondary opportunities and attainment in the Kodiak region.

While all qualified individuals are welcome to apply, we are particularly seeking board members who are/were first-generation college students or who have attained career success in non-traditional education pathways (apprenticeship, workforce training programs, maritime careers, etc.).

Sign up to volunteer!

Island GRAD Project is currently an all-volunteer organization. We are building a list of individuals who have agreed to volunteer with us or who wish to be contacted about volunteer opportunities as we grow our capacity to serve the communities of our region.

Volunteer opportunities might include:

  • Behind-the-scenes work such as administrative and tech support, volunteer coordination, and grant proposal writing

  • Interactive or public-facing work such as organizational coordination, fundraising, and event coordination.

  • Working on teams or committees to help plan our programs and services.

  • Providing cultural and language consulting and/or translation services (in-person, outreach materials, etc.)

In the future, we will need trusted and qualified adults who can work directly with teens and young adults as anchors, mentors, navigators, and academic tutors. Adult volunteers who work directly with minors will be required to undergo a background check.

Have ideas on how you can help? We would love to hear them!

Donor / Sponsor Interest Form

Island GRAD Project is seeking donors and sponsors to help fund our mission and to develop the capacity and potential of our organization. We will only succeed if we are supported by our community.

Please complete the form above if you would like to be contacted to discuss possible ways to support our work. If desired, all donors and sponsors will be publicized on our website and social media, and through all other possible methods. You may also reach out directly to Robyn Callahan at robyn@islandgradproject.oirg or (907) 539-2744, or to any member of the IGP Board of Directors.

Thank you for your consideration.

Support our Mission.

Your valuable contribution will help fund our efforts to help Kodiak Island students achieve education and economic success.

IGP advocates for ALL pathways that lead to well-being and meaningful careers that provide a living wage. These include college, CTE/workforce programs, apprenticeship and OJT opportunities, military service, entrepreneurism, rural-subsistence life-ways, as well as combinations of the above and more!
